Truth Social Web App is blocking the public webroot from search engines. Furthermore, it’s being reported that Donald Trump’s dev team has not submitted the required paperwork to Google for its app inclusion in the play store. Going to the new web app my existing account was denied access. Using a different email and phone number I registered a second account. Once logged in I noticed the www root URL stayed the same when navigating the site. Viewing the page source showed it was hidden within a JavaScript Iframe blocking Google and other web crawlers from indexing the site!
When going to the www address it now has a register an account and login options. Trying to log in with my existing account returns a forbidden error. I registered a second account with another email and phone number. My email address was verified and the phone number used received an SMS verification code. The process is simple and my account was activated quickly. Comparing truths on the iPhone app and www it appears there were two Mastadon installs in the root domain.
Two things other than it appears they have two sites running on the domain root. No matter what page or truth is viewed, the web browser URL window shows the same root landing page. At first, I thought they were loading the truth social web app in an inline frame which is a way of embedding another website or page into another. Viewing the page source It appears they are using JavaScript to load an iPhone app as it’s mentioned several times in the source code. In a nutshell, whatever is going on in the background is hidden by JavaScript that is mimicking what was called an Iframe from early programming. With member and brand profiles being hidden like Parler used to do, search bots can not crawl what should be public_html and index members’ profiles. That’s fine for a private website, but not for social media where people and brands should be found via search engines.
As we see in the top screenshot, they are blocking the main URL cutting the webroot off from search engines. If there is no other option other than creating the www access from an iPhone app (as is suggested in the page source) at least put it in a sub-domain. Blocking the main webroot will cause all kinds of problems down the road. Furthermore, both the www and iPhone app sites appear to contain different content. Wouldn’t it be easier to share the database? They should be able to set up URL variables to share a single database and directories. Or even better why not develop a responsive theme for Mastodon? If Truth’s HTML is coded correctly like Gab’s, that’s all that’s needed! 😉
The New York Post reported: that Twitter has shut down an account that was devoted solely to posting Donald Trump’s “truths” from his newly created social media platform Truth Social. The Twitter account, which went by the handle @PresTrumpTS, was banned just days after it was created. Trump’s press releases were posted on Twitter by his aide, Liz Harrington, though she recently announced that she, too, would be leaving Twitter for Truth Social because “Twitter is a terrible website that is beyond fixing.” It was reported that Trump has been telling associates that Google has been sabotaging his truth social media platform by not making it available on Android devices. However, despite Trump’s suspicions, Truth Social is inaccessible to Android users because it has yet to file the required paperwork seeking approval for its listing on the Play Store, Rolling Stone reported, citing an individual familiar with the matter and two Trumpworld sources with knowledge of the situation.

Personally, it’s my opinion that Donald Trump’s trusted insiders are sabotaging Truth Social. Ever since its iPhone app became available on Apple’s app store on President’s day I was up at 2:30 AM trying to create an account that took days, only to be put on a long waitlist which I blogged about here. I’m sorry but this appears to be an inside sabotage job and a chain of command combined failure. Devin Nunes is a good guy but has no clue about tech, especially on this level. He’s a good media spinner giving interviews about upcoming truth features and rollouts. Nunes simply repeats what he has been told. The screwups I’ve documented are beginner webmaster errors. This latest blunder is inexcusable, and not completing the Android app paperwork is another that loudly suggests insider sabotage.
Truth Social website looks like the blind leading the blind with Devin Nunes riding his John Deere off into the sunset, and Donald Trump is cutting checks. It’s all about the Benjamin’s Baby! 😎

I use an android and am on Truth Social. Just pulled up the site on Brave and set up an acvount.
Oh, yea it does work, but why was I required to create another account to use it? When logging in with my new account there is an option to add another account that also returns a forbidden error. Truth Social is seriously mucked up! 😥
